Maebe Primary School under Mohlaletse circuit within the Sekhukhune East District in Limpopo province boasts 559 learners and 21 classrooms.
The incumbent principal Mrs T D Phala backed by 16 educators and one administration clerk are having their hands on deck to equip learners with relevant knowledge and skills. The functional School Governing Body is at hand to ensure good governance.
History in brief
The school is named after Maebe, a small mountain at whose foot this primary learning centre has been radiating light to young potential stars since 1981. But there were no classrooms during the founding years, the first learners, the 21 pioneers sat on stones and on some few wooden benches under trees. Lessons were conducted by the solo educator cum principal Mrs Thulare MG during the first year of operation.

Fast forward
Tree classrooms have been replaced by proper buildings and stone seats by furniture. Four of the 21 classrooms serve as kitchen, library, office and staffroom. However, Maebe hillock remains magnificently unshaken next to its namesake Maebe Primary School.
